Beth Chapman, the better half of the TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter passed away

Beth

Beth Chapman, the better half of the TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter passed away recently. Many fans will remember Beth and her appearances on the show. The TV show was, in part, and extension of her life in bail bond business. Reality TV could not capture all the details of her life and family, also mostly in bail bond business.

While sharing details of her work on TV and online, in personal life she was also dedicated to the bail bond industry. In 2016 she ran for and won the position of President of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States.

Her presence in the media, online and in real life made her a true representative of the bail bonds industry.

Cheaper by the dozen, from her website:

“Beth is the driving force in the Chapman clan. Having raised 12 children with her husband Duane "Dog" Chapman. Things were not always easy. In fact, far from it. It is this ideology that she's never forgotten and carries with her daily.”

Business engagements:

“Beth is a very astute business woman having operated several retail stores, several bail shops in different states.”

Her last words:

““When she had an attack I didn’t know anything to do but to say ‘in Jesus name’ and hold her and when I said ‘in Jesus name’ she said, ‘Say it again, say it more,”’ Chapman told Hawaii News Now.

Chapman said his wife’s last words to him and their two daughters were: “I love you,” and “Are you guys all OK? Don’t worry.”

Beth is survived by her husband, Duane "Dog" Chapman. Together, they came to world prominence through the reality TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter, set up in Hawaii, where they lived and worked. The TV show followed Duane, Ruth and some family members tracking down and arresting people who failed to appear in court.

The unique style of the show that was part investigation and part chase clicked well with TV viewers. The show went through different instances and showed up on different networks, but its center of attention, Beth and Dog were always able to captivate the attention of the viewers.

The official statement from the Dog the Bounty Hunter headquarters was:

“Thank you to everyone reaching out with their kind thoughts, prayers, sympathies and memories of @MrsdogC Beth. We simply cannot respond to the millions of them, but every kind word means so much. We love you deeply”

She was 51.
